Real estate is a challenging and competitive business, and the right real estate agent or Realtor can be the key to helping a person or a family find the house that they envision as their next home.

It’s not all open houses and showings. There are priorities to sort for the buyer, budgets to consider and talent for matching the right property to a new owner.

This week, the San Antonio Business Journal recognizes the Top 100 Residential Real Agents and Teams in San Antonio in the following categories: Luxury Real Estate Agents, Individual Agents, Residential Real Estate Teams and Farm & Ranch Agents.

To see all the honorees in all categories, see the featured slideshow at the top of this page. For individual categories, see the slideshows at the bottom of this page.

Making the Top 100 list is determined by gross closed sales volume in 2017 after an agent, a Realtor or a team is nominated by a broker.

San Antonio is an ideal location for buying and selling homes, as the market remains good. We reported earlier this year that for the seventh year in a row, for 2017, home sales in the Alamo City outperformed those of the previous year. More than 30,000 single-family homes sold.

Home sales in 2017 were up 4 percent compared to 2016, and up more than 3,000 homes sold from 2015. That’s according to the latest Multiple Listing Service report from the San Antonio Board of Realtors.

For folks like you at the top of your game this probably isn’t news to you. That’s ok. I really just wanted to congratulate you all on your achievements. You earned it!

*(duPerier Texas Land Man wishes to congratulate two of our exceptional agents, Kevin Meier and Trey Hallmark. Job well done!)
